FLUOELASTOMER  COMPOUNDS (FKM and FFKM)

Fluoroelastomers (FKM) and Perfluoroelastomers (FFKM)

These are the elastomers with the widest range of useable temperatures (peaks can exceed 300°c), the highest chemical resistance to lubricants, fuels and additives for motor vehicles and the viability of use in the most extreme circumstances.
Their characteristics are afforded by the exceptional properties of the Carbon-Fluorine bond that distinguishes the polymer chain.

Compounds formulated with fluorine and perfluoroelastomers are intended for the most demanding applications, characterised by high temperatures and chemically aggressive environments such as those typical of the automotive and aerospace sectors, the chemical and oil industry and the gas and energy sector in which high and long-lasting performance are fundamental necessities.

With this type of material, o-rings, gaskets and molded parts with complex geometries can be produced, pipes extruded and protective coatings created.

The production capacity for FKM-based compounds is over 1000 tonnes per year
Production takes place on two dedicated lines which guarantee batch homogeneity and in which the compounds are divided by colour. Two open mixers allow for the supply of small batches and mix samples.

Fluoroelastomer compound packaging can be done in reels, rolls, sheets, or in continuous strips, thanks to the new dedicated line that we have recently installed.
